Just out of curiosity, for the people who had an acceptance letter appear when we got thru the system 2 weeks ago, did any of you guys who saw acceptance letters have or had to-dos for fisnncial aid???
@UVAfan23 I did. I posted asking if the to-dos were significant and it was passed off and explained by not filling out the FASFA/CSS correctly (which I know for a fact I filled out correctly)
@pethomas96 yep exactly! I had no to-dos and when I saw that rejection “decision” letter (if it was real or not) I have had no to-dos at all so far. I’m 100% sure seeing financial aid to-dos means you’re in, they say financial aid and admissions are separate but that’s not true. So, congrats! Pretty sure anyone who had those to-dos are in
Also I’m pretty sure I filled out my fafsa correctly. Only thing that wasn’t done and I did it very very late was my CSS profile.
@UVAfan23 as much as I would love to celebrate, time will tell if the decision we saw are the actual decisions. You could’ve been on the border line & after reviewing more applications they change your decision completely! And the same thing could happen for me! Nothing is set in stone until May 1st!!
@UVAfan23 the CSS profile is complimentary to middle class families on paper, but have debt that the FASFA does not recognize as important. My mom just recently graduated from UVA with her graduate degree so being able to put down we have an insane amount of student loan debt is a huge benefit.
You guys are just making it worse for yourself with all the speculation. There are literally 4 days remaining until you know for sure. Wait till then. It is literally pointless to assume you are getting in based on something none of us know for sure.
@backinthehunt as I said, “nothing is set in stone until May 1st”! & I do not believe anyone is 100% they are getting in. But hey, I admire your patience in such a stressful time where speculation is natural!
@tulane201516 So do people have the accept admissions tab like last year?
I had an acceptance letter but no financial aid to dos.
Where do you guys see financial aid to dos?
@Sam998 one of the forms I filled out was specifically for the CSS. If you go on your SIS account there should be a box that says “to-dos” and if you have anything to do it will be there!
I thought CSS was just one of the financial aid things every applicant filled out?
@Sam998 you are correct. This form in particular though mentioned the CSS on it. Were you able to find the to do list location?
@UVAfan23 It is my understanding that when you are accepted the max credits they will accept is 60. This is because you are supposed to complete half your degree at CC and half at a university.
@pethomas96 is this what you’re referring to? http://imgur . com/BdkTnl2
@Sam998 yes
@UVAfan23 I had to dos, but when I did the link thing, I was wait listed.
the plot thickens
I still hold that the to-do’s simply mean you messed up in the submission of the FAFSA/CSS forms AND the required tax documents. Either that or you did not submit them.
