Does anyone know anything about Financial Aid? My parents make $90,000 and it says we will only have to pay like $5,000 when my parents put their info in the UVA calculator thing. $5,000 does not make sense!
Can any of you potential UVA transfers share what you plan to do for housing? Curious if most will plan to go off campus or stay on campus? I’m worried about the transfer adjustment of my daughter and the best way to meet others new to campus…
I will be living on campus
@motherandchild5, I haven’t quite made a decision, but I’m leaning towards on-campus (if accepted). I think being able to assimilate socially and make new friends is important for the first year of a transfer student. While joining clubs and orgs is important to meeting others, I think location trumps them both. I would think it would be easier to do this living on-grounds than living away (depending on the building too). But that’s just my opinion. I need to do some more research and see what other transfers have done.
@lowrancc I would accept the wait list spot. I feel like the main reason they’d wait list me is because I didn’t submit midterm grades. I go to VWCC and none of my professors have midterms
Hey guys. I have been lurking on this thread for some time now. I checked the link that @Lavolpe put up a few weeks ago, which said I got rejected. Now I am seeing that everyone’s banner says “Accept Admission”, but mine does not. Mine just says “View Decision” on the tab itself. I don’t know if I am the only one, but not everyone has the “Accept Admissions” tab.
I took a screenshot. http://imgur.com/0XtSnth. Hopefully the link works.

@UVarejected This might be a dumb speculation, but do you think that maybe it’s because you’re on a Mac? All the other screenshots, myself included, that had the “accept admission” tab I’ve seen were on PCs.
Interesting! It does look like you don’t have accept admission @UVarejected
@SamoyedScience I have a Mac and have acceot admission
I feel like this isn’t a real screenshot. Might be photoshopped or something.
Also, same as @lowrancc I have a Mac and have Accept Admission too.
Did you guys notice he just registered today? And only has 3 posts? He could be a lurker without ever creating an account but it’s just fishy. Correct me if I’m wrong. @UVarejected
@UVAfan23 I felt that it might be another “postinguser” type troll. But I don’t really care at this point. We won’t know for sure until (hopefully) Friday
Wooooow, I’m starting to lose faith in human kindness with all these t r o l l s. Oh well, just (perhaps) three more days.
I can’t believe that t r o l l is censored lmao.
@SamoyedScience @UVarejected I am on a mac and I have the “Accept Admission” tab. I logged in on both Chrome and Safari and both showed the tab, so this is pretty interesting that you don’t have it…
Who cares what it says. Lol this weekend we will all know.
@SamoyedScience hahaha I thought it was funny that t r o l l is censored too
And I don’t think that screenshot is real. Kinda wish it was Bc that would be a positive for me, but I’m ready for that rejection lol. God, I hate being a pessimist.
no need for speculation. 2 days!
@Calibr8 I don’t see where we differ. We both agree that it’s a way of narrowing the applicants that the are interested in.
There is 25 spots, that is final, that is not changing.
@gabriel609 I felt that it was rushed as well. But I also feel that it’s counter-intuitive. Most students interested in the program have a pretty good idea of what the program is like since we are so interested in it.
Of course we have more specific questions but why were we not given this option earlier? How does the admissions team get a better understanding about ourselves if we are just asking questions of what the classes and opportunities are.?
