Im 20 turning 21 soon
@Edu_rms awww! Good for your mom! UMW is a great school. I mean I’m not THAT old haha (no offense, I’m sure your mom is lovely :))
But I just feel so out of place sometimes. Although I did speak to a dean at UVA and told me my age is nothing compared to other applicants. They have 30+ year olds applying, and it’s not a bad thing. Everyone has different paths to success 
And 21 is not bad at all.
@UVAfan23 What are you majoring in?
@UVAfan23 I think your age is actually a huge asset, you bring more to the table the older you are. Just my two cents.

@DannyCareyisGod my intended major is Teacher Education with a minor in Astronomy if at all possible. If not I’ll just major in astronomy haha. I applied to CAS but now I’m wondering if that was a bad move, and should’ve applied to the Curry School of Education

@UVAfan23 I was hoping I was going to be the only astronomy major applying… I guess not lol. But im glad to meet a possibly fellow astronomy major! I hope we both get in!! Are you transferring as a 3rd year or 2nd year?
Turned 20 in December! Any other politics majors? I’m Foreign Affairs and Foreign Policy ranked UVA at 22 for International Relations. I wonder how competitive the pool is

@DannyCareyisGod NO WAY! Haha. It’s rare to come by astronomy majors. I truly hope we both get in too. If not I’m gonna try again next year. Not giving up! I also applied as a second year, mostly because all my credits from years ago are non-transferable and was unsure of what I wanted to major in so haven’t accumulated too many credits. Been out of school on and off as well due to work too. Also, have you heard about the new super computer at UVA implemented in 2014 I believe (called Rivanna). If I get in I’m so excited to be able to work with it. Lots of astronomy, chemistry, bio majors will be able to use it for research, which is what I ultimately wanna get into.

@UVAfan23 No I was unaware that UVA was getting a super computer but im exctied to possible be able to use it. I wrote my essays about my passion to do research. I also took a research class at CC this year and I had to write a grant proposal and I did my project on astronomy. I wish I could have showed it to admission lol.

@DannyCareyisGod that’s awesome! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to take too many astronomy courses, trying to get this math out of the way and get into Calc or Stats ugh, it’s holding me back a lot.
But yes! Look into the super computer. It’s super cool. I really really wanna do research as well. I hope we both get in! Good luck and maybe we’ll see each other at DOTL, God willing

Is there a difference between SIS and myuva? I’ve tried to log into myuva but I don’t know my account info. @Edu_rms
@Raygan10 SIS is where you schedule for classes, see what’s due for financial aid and where you see your decision result. MyUVA is like information on the school you go to and has a to do list also with the basic stuff like testing, application, etc. so when you submitted your application you should of got an email for it. If not contact the welcome center

As a McIntire applicant, I just got my check mark. Did the other Commerce hopefuls get theirs?
I assume this means they are getting ready to release everything by the weekend.
