@CharmyGreen when did you apply for css? also, was it enough/are you happy with the award?
@CharmyGreen Is it available electronically or did it come in mail?
I just found out that there are some required document that I need to submit on the SIS To-Do list for Financial Aid. I’m super worried that I won’t be able to see my award package before the deposit deadline. Did anyone else need to submit more documents?
I goi into McIntire and I decided to go. Although it was a really tough decision.
@hopefulinlife I did the profile in the middle of march and turned in all of my documents by the end of march. UVA covered all my needs as promised so I am very happy.
@xinn62 you can view it through sis but you have to turn in all your documents first
@CharmyGreen I was not notified I had to do those additional documents until after I got in… I’m honestly very annoyed right now because financial aid determines everything for me
Which additional documents? If you’re referring to the Expenses form, which popped up for me immediately after my acceptance, I submitted that Monday and got my award Tuesday. Therefore, if it’s just that, you should be able to get your award by the deadline, though they said they release them on Tuesdays, so get it done ASAP.
If they already have your taxes and w2 then they should have your award ready. If they request things other that those two then their probably gonna post your award after they get those documents as confirmation.

I am a new third-year transfer student at UVA 2017 fall.
I am thinking to live on campus for my first year at UVA. I have heard that students can choose their roommates for a dorm, so it would be amazing to find a good person (or people) before randomly assigned.
I am looking for a forum of UVA transfer housing. Is there any of it? Is there anyone interested in maybe?

I thought it didn’t affect my award. Do you think the amount of aid I’ll get will be affected?
@rk123 Same here!! They could have notified me earlier that I had to turn in those additional documents. I’m super concerned right now. I cannot decide whether or not to attend UVa if my aid package isn’t ready as there is no way I can pay for it unless I get a lot of aid.

Congrats to everyone that got accepted and if you were waitlisted don’t sweat it too much. I transferred last year and got off the waitlist. I have a room to offer for a male in Brown College. I will be doing a co-op next year so I will have to transfer my housing contract. Normally you have to apply to Brown but I already did that for you. I highly recommend doing some research on Brown as it is one of the best locations on grounds. I got stuck in Hereford when I transferred and I would not recommend it. If you are interested in taking the room in Harrison (complex in Brown) please PM me!
