@va2pittsburgh I emailed my mid term report a week and a half-2 weeks ago, and they accepted it no problem, it could be worth sending it, especially if you think it’ll help your chances.
hello, i applied to UVA as a second year, and i wanted to know if UVA gives decisions over the phone because I have to respond to one of my schools by May 1.
@stuckonthisearth nope! you go on sis
does anyone know when decisions will be available?
Last year it was April 29th – the last Friday of April…so hopefully soon!
Anybody got requested to do an interview for McIntire transfer?
Hey everyone! I’m currently a first year student at uva and I’m looking for 2 people to take over the lease for lambeth (upperclassmen housing). My roommate and I were planning on living there but some unfortunate things have come up personally so we need to move out. The other two roommates (in a separate room) are super sweet as well. It’d be a great way to make friends especially if you’re a transfer student! Please e-mail me at mi.jun926@gmail.com if you’re interested!!!
Does anyone have anything on their to dos regarding financial aid or anything? I haven’t received any notices from UVa since I submitted my application for Arts and Sciences. Have you guys been getting emails and requests for additional documentation? Just curious. I feel like that would be an indication of our decision status.
@dukesilverissaxy They requested my parents W-2s in the beginning of April through sis. Other than that just generic “thanks for sending in your documents” emails from the financial aid office. If you sent in all of your financial aid required documents then they have no need to ask for anything else so you should be fine.
@dukesilverissaxy Nope, after they received my college and high school transcript nothing else has appeared on To-Do List. I wouldn’t worry about anything… except for the fact that decisions will most likely be released in a little over a week!!!
@CharmyGreen @viewsfromthe6 thanks for your responses! ahhhhhhhhh. i’m so nervous. how are you guys feeling? confident? nervous??
When do decisions come out
@ConnorGrant19 5pm on May 1st at the latest, but some have speculated Friday, April 28, as decisions have been released on the last Friday in April the past few years.
@dukesilverissaxy I’m pretty nervous too! Time has really flown by for me, so the wait itself hasn’t been that bad. I know next Friday will come in no time. I would like to say I’m confident, but at the same time, I don’t want to get my hopes up too much. If I do get rejected or wait listed it’s going to hit pretty hard (I’m really ready to move on from my current school). But regardless, everything will turn out fine for all of us in the end!
@viewsfromthe6 honestly, same! I can’t believe how fast time has flown since we submitted applications. At times I feel confident, but other times I feel like there’s absolutely no chance for me. I’ve read stories of kids getting in with 3.2s and others of kids getting rejected with 3.9s, so it definitely depends on the individual student I guess. What’s your major?
@dukesilverissaxy Yeah, I definitely feel where you’re coming from. I agree, I think it’s really hard to guess your chances when it comes to transferring. I am a Finance major, but I haven’t really taken any Finance classes yet (doing business prerequisites and other major requirements atm). What major are you?
does anyone have a green check mark instead of a green circle?
@viewsfromthe6 gotcha gotcha! That’s cool. Forgive my ignorance, but are you applying to Comm school then? I’m majoring in English lit and minoring in French. I’m really hoping to get into the five year BA/MA program if I’m accepted. @oth1997 I just have the green circle. Do you have a green check mark? I’ve read posts about this in previous threads. Is the check an indication of acceptance or at least the completion of one’s decision?
Next week is the moment of truth…
@dukesilverissaxy I am applying as a 2nd year transfer, so if I do get in, I’ll be applying to McIntire the following year.
And that’s awesome man I hope you do too! I didn’t know they had a five year BA/MA program, that’s pretty sweet. I also don’t have the check mark… maybe admissions is doing it differently from the previous years? Anyways, I am soooo ready for decisions to be released!!
