UVA Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

That makes me feel 10x better about the time left haha @TerrierNation

i’ll probs watch avengers that weekend to make time fly

Are any of you girls who are looking to live off grounds?

@NOVAtransfer me

I was just looking at OOS transfer rates for Commerce. UVA really does not want to let in out of state kids in to Commerce 8% offer rate for guys.

But then again many that group doesn’t have the specific courses or just don’t have a good GPA.

I’ve been reading about UVA’s secret societies. You think they accept transfers? Lol

@NOVAtransfer I am!

@TerrierNation I’m sure they do. Can’t lie, I’ve got my eye on one or two.

@benzgirl714 Hmu! I have a friend looking for 2-3 more girls.

@acceptancewoohoo once we’re all in (fingers crossed) we should def see about that! I’m looking for roommates too

I’ve got my eye on one too haha

join the UVA housing sublet group. Things come up all the time.

@NOVAtransfer I am too if I get in!

Also everyone, will decisions be April 27th or May 1st?

May 1. last friday in april if they’re feeling nice lol

@jmh77777 Is it 8% offer to those, who applied? Or 8% of the class is outof state?

Looking from previous years, I’d assume most of the decisions would come out on the last Friday (27th) of April, considering all the time we have waited thus far, but of course May 1st is the absolute day where you will get a decision if you didn’t get it on Friday. A 4 day wait isn’t much considering we have been waiting for months after completing the application.

Haha @msport would it be a breech of anonymity to ask which one?

@NOVAtransfer I def will! Just patiently waiting for decisions now lmao

8 percent for OOS. Much higher instate

@“Dean J” Are you guys reviewing transfer apps up to the very last minute? Just curious about the turnaround time from when decisions are actually finalized to when they are released.

is there potential at all for decisions to be released earlier than May 1 or the last Friday of April?

Obviously this doesn’t apply for UVA, but Vanderbilt is supposed to release deicisions next Monday and I contacted my admissions counselor today and she said she hadn’t read my app yet. I guess admissions officers procrastinate just like us.

Haha I can’t begin to imagine how patient one must be to individually read hundreds of applications without rushing or not taking a look at all angles of the applicant. Still curious how UVA does it though, since they have a pre-set date they must have a deadline for having the decisions done.
