I’ve worked hard and if you do too, you will get what you want!!! I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Congrats to everyone who got in, go future Hoos! To those who didn’t, that’s okay too. Though UVA is a great school, it is not the be-all and end-all school. To keep it short, I’m actually transferring back to Tech. The “best” school is not always the best school. You’ll end up where you were meant to be.
Applied as junior electrical engineering
3.82 GPA
All prerequisites completed
Had a medical withdrawal so maybe it cast doubt on my application
OOS
FA aid theory: always had FA information not found
I kind of felt like I had gotten rejected so im not too upset. I did accept waitlist, but unfortunately I had to drop a class this semester so I’m not sure how high my chances are of getting off it.

College GPA: 4.0
Midterm GPA: 4.0
HS: Top 10 in State
HS GPA: 3.61

Work Experience: Worked as a part-time receptionist from junior-senior year in HS, promoted to Accounting Clerk my 1st year of college, and got a new job as a Finance Coordinator my 2nd year of college. PS: been working full time and going to school full time since my first semester.

Essays: Strong and genuine IMO. Mainly wrote about balancing being a full time employee and full time student, along with my work experience and how it’s stimulated my interest in my major.
Also, I did have “Inquiry Access Denied” for Financial Aid. Future applicants, watch out for this.
Still in shock. UVA is my dream.
Congrats to those accepted. Please remain hopeful for those waitlisted. Good luck and best of wishes to those going elsewhere. No matter your decision, all that matters is you’ve proven yourself capable and worthy.
Hey everyone! Congratulations to all of you who were accepted! Like I was saying earlier, I’m looking for someone to take my place in Bice. It’s on-grounds housing, so you don’t have to worry about sub-leasing or buying furniture. It’s also right by grounds. If you’re interested or would like more information, please message me and we can talk.
@puddleduck24 Potentially, but it’s also been the same way for years. The website is pretty old, so unless that gets updated, I doubt much of the HTML code will change. In fact, they batch website building by contracting it out to PeopleSoft. I bet they won’t pay for them to fix it, but I guess they’ll know by then.

@mualphabot Sure, but they also could force the page to redirect to a generic landing page for everyone until decisions were released. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Who knows.
@brayantorres10 I would certainly take that advice as a younger transfer student in their sophomore year with good high school grades eyeing GAA in-state. As an older student at 26, some of us are at the mercy of our accomplishments when we were younger. I don’t have anyone to blame but myself for those past transgressions, yet I am still firm in my resolve and considering it the school’s loss in my case. I won’t arise to the level of ad hominem against admissions staff, however. It’s a competitive field but with an acceptance at W&M, I’m not in a state of lamentation.
I feel like I know all of you guys and I’m rooting for all of you so hard! I hope those of you that are wait listed get in, and those that were rejected are able to find the right place for them! @CTUR782 Don’t get so down, you can definitely study another year at NVCC and apply under the GAA if you decide you really want UVA. You’ll save money in the end anyways
