Best to direct orientation questions to the orientation folks. The Office of Admission gets your here, but other offices take over once you matriculate.

For anyone who was admitted to SEAS, does UVA make you stay in “general engineering” for a semester before declaring an official major?

@techuva8 I’m not sure, maybe ask the UVa transfer thread. However, the blog (you may have read it) doesn’t seem to indicate a date. I would send them as they become available. They don’t make wait-list decisions until the 16th of May, anyways.
Has anyone who has deposited received an email from UVA about computing and orientation? On the transfer blog it says that we are supposed to receive one about 3 days after we deposit.
