AP Government
Anatomy + Physiology (honors)
AP Art History

English (non-honors)
(Only took honors or AP classes from the 9th grade; (took 2 non-honor classes, just for Spanish lol. And senior year English because that is all my school offers)

Program:
I’m in a science and math program called Carl Sagan. It’s the best program my school has to offer. We do research on plants, write research papers, present at science fairs etc. (Applied to the New York Science and Engineering Fair: one of the 200 accepted out of 1000 applicants. Did not go pass the preliminary rounds. If I went to the round after the preliminaries, I would have met Obama lol)

Sports:

Work:
CEO and Founder of a tutoring company.
I will write about this, my aunt who was like a second mother to me was sick and we live together, my dad was unemployed and my mom was working minimum wage, I needed to make money by doing something I'm good at (in this case, tutoring).

Honor Societies:
National Honor Society 2 years
English Honor Society 1 year
Science Honor Society 1 year (founder/president)

Recommendations:
1) My Spanish teacher (although she has noting to do with my major in college, I only chose her since we are the closest) She will write better than great things about me lol
2) My Current Business teacher (I am in his business class) I have known him since my freshman year, he helped me get my tutoring company up and running. we are very close.
3) My counselor: Above average, she will write good things, although I don't know her very closely.

I'm want to major something in business!

Any criticism? Any points I should emphasize on my app? UVA is my #1 :)

Btw, I am applying RD.

I didn’t want to do this but bump :/

Heyy

I’m also applying to U.Va! Thats my #2 choice! But yeah,no sweats,I def. think you will get in! Your SAT/ACT are solid, your more then involve, you show signs of leadership which is a major turn on to an admission personal.you have founded an organization.Plus you mention that you have low income and U.Va is well known for giving lots of money especially to high achieving students that are involved in their community.

The reason I know so much is I have a family friend that helps me with all of my college stuff, mind you that her son went to Columbia Univ.

Did you apply through questbridge as well?

no, commonapp! thanks ALOT for the feedback, makes me happy :D

You’ll probably get a better response in the chance forum: [What Are My Chances? - College Confidential](Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums)

As a general rule, this forum is for discussing and answering questions about UVA, not for evaluating chances
