The Provost announced two changes for our next application cycle. I’ve shared this all my social channels, but thought I’d post here just in case you haven’t seen the news. The subject says it all!
Thank you! Penn went test-optional today, too. Yesterday, Columbia and Dartmouth did. Two days ago the College Board gave up on plans to administer an at-home test and urged schools to be flexible with students. What a crazy time we live in.
I think a lot of schools have been having the test optional conversation since COVID-19 shut everything down (and really, for years prior). Some are just finishing the conversation and announcing changes before others. The list is bound to keep growing as this is the prime period for boards to be meeting.
This is good news considering my son has registered for the SAT three separate times and each one has been cancelled. Latest for 8/29. Seems like taking the SAT isn’t even an option at this point.
