<p>Anyone has experience on this double major, how hard for a math major. I am thinking about this cause I can carry over some credits from high school for Math.</p>

<p>i know people who have done this (econ-finance and math-finance) it’s rigorous but do-able. now if you mean comm-school + math i have no idea but i would imagine it would be hard.</p>
<p>I am a third year math and econ double major and psych minor. The math major is very challenging, but doable - provided that you are comfortable with the idea of never getting an A ever again. Also, take an upper level math course before you make a decision. I loved calculus and doing math problems, but a math major is primarily theorems and proofs.</p>

<p>Very rigorous… but it will be very good preparation especially for grad school.</p>
<p>I didn’t notice the quote about not being able to get A’s in upper level math classes… This is untrue, I have all A’s and A-'s in my math classes except for just 2 of them (one B+ and one C… that class was the hardest class I ever took). But the fact that they are theory based, and the EXTREME difference between lower level calculus and upper level math and the suggestion to take a class before declaring are very true/good ideas.</p>
<p>I’m also planning to double major in math and econ. I’m trying to shoot for straight A’s in all my math and econ classes. Maybe that’s just ridiculous, but I’m planning to work my butt off from start till end - I’m willing to make my college life complete academic hell.</p>
