<p>Curious to know whether Michigan will pass UVA this year in terms of acceptance rate. Sullivan and Coleman have probably having this friendly skirmish for sometime. :)</p>

<p>We know how many applications were submitted, but we only count completed applications in our numbers, so the total app number isn’t known at this time.</p>

<p>Oh this is curious. An admissions rep on college confidential? It’s a first for me, but that’s not saying much.</p>
<p>Yes it was a joke hence the smiley face. What did you interpret it as? A rejection of the idea of Michigan and UVA competing for students?, a rejection of Presidents caring about acceptance rates?, a dismissal of Michigan being a peer with UVA? What?</p>
<p>Any idea on when a final app count can be expected? Have you seen, at least, an increase in submitted applications? </p>

<p>The EA app numbers are on the blog and they are up. RD submissions are up, but we only report completed apps (practices vary from one university to the next). We give counselors and teachers a grace period to submit their parts of the application, so it will be a few weeks before we know how many applications become complete.</p>
