Emory-Business
UPenn-Wharton

Bump please?

I think you have a good shot at UVA and W&M…not sure about the others

Penn Wharton - Really High Reach
UVA - Reach
W@M- Matchish
Emory - Low Reach
USC - Low Reach
NYU - Low Reach

I’m only being kinda tough because of the race issue and SAT issue (which I’m sure you are well aware of.) Also, the lack of music and athletics sets you also in the generic Asian pool. However, your yearbook involvement sounds very impressive and I feel that if you push that in your essay/application it will greatly improve your chances. If you got your SATs to 2100 you’d have a much better shot. Chance back?

Should I even apply to Wharton? My stats tell me it’s a reach and I don’t necessarily want to spend so much time on applying to a school I won’t get in…

You have a very very small chance at wharton, especially with that SAT, I’m not sure but you would probably want closer to a 2250+

Bump? Opinions on the other schools?

Bump 10 char?

Found you!

Anyway, here are my opinions.

Not many people take into consideration the “NORTHERN” part of NoVa when they chance for state-schools. Nevertheless, you obviously have a very strong chance at W&M and UVa (both high matches, but I think UVa would be a bit easier for you and would match your interests better)

As for the others

Wharton - Always a toughie. Ivies are always crap shoots. Reach.
Emory - Low Reach
NYU - High match / Match
USC - Low Reach

I can tell you right now that you’ll get into both NYU and UVA indefinately.

UVA: match
NYU: match
Emory: low reach
USC: reach
upenn: reach
william & mary: high match

Actually i wouldn’t count UVA that easy…

“I can tell you right now that you’ll get into both NYU and UVA indefinately.”

I really don’t think you should count on getting into any of those schools indefinitely; they’re all pretty competitive. You do have a good shot at UVa and W+M seeing as you are from Virginia, but even so NoVa sends so many well-rounded kids to those schools, it’s still competitive. And I wouldn’t discount NYU as a shoo-in, especially Stern. I would definitely work on your SAT score.

Those three were the only ones of your list I applied to, so I don’t know about the others, but good luck!
