UVa or VT + Honors for Engineering?

So, I've been accepted to both universities among other colleges. I understand both are excellent options: UVa is overall prestigious (a "public Ivy") and offers a great variety of courses, while VT's engineering supposedly outshines anything else in Virginia and is among the top in the nation and has a widespread network of internship/career opportunities.
The thing is...I'm having a hard time confirming my major. Yes, you'll say that UVa is the better option just because it is more well-rounded, but I don't expect to have a total major change, because I am interested in engineering. Although, if I decide to minor in business (which I hear is pretty common and doable), UVa is no doubt the better option. In addition to the predicament, I did not get into UVa's Rodman Scholars (the "Honors" for engineering) while I did get into Honors for VT...do Honors benefits outweigh UVa overall?
If any of you guys can list some PROS or CONS for both schools, or just one school, would help :-)

I would say go to Tech. However, from what I’ve heard from friends who have gone through the Tech engineering program, Tech uses freshman engineering courses to “weed out,” some people. I also heard that they only take a certain number of people into each engineering concentration although I’m not sure that’s true so you may wanna look that up.

Both schools are really awesome and I actually liked Tech better than UVA although If i had to chose between the two I would’ve chosen UVA because I’m a humanities person. (I ended up choosing a different va school). I felt people at Tech were more friendly and down to earth but I liked UVA’s system and tradition better. If you’re decision is entirely on academics and you know you want to be an engineer, I would say Tech and just get a minor in business there.
