UVa Status???

I don't know what I'm doing wrong...still no report. :( Maybe that's a bad sign. Do you put in the major (#1) before hitting the View Report?

No. The only time I selected a major from the drop down menu was when I initially requested the report.

I only put in the major for the Request, not to View Report.

Oh, to heck with it! Wish you'd get an e-mail back and then we wouldn't have to worry about this anymore.

Yeah, I don't know why they haven't responded yet. They are usually very good about replying in a timely fashion.

I am beginning to wonder now if they will respond at all. Maybe they aren't allowed to answer that question because it would be revealing who is accepted and who isn't...

i applied with absolutely no chance of admission (i'm not being modest) and i have access to the isis and my status has changed, so it means nothing. sorry to disappoint.
hth.

What are your stats?

" applied with absolutely no chance of admission (i'm not being modest) and i have access to the isis and my status has changed, so it means nothing. sorry to disappoint."

Haha, that is funny....oh, and thank you for putting this issue to rest.

vlmanfredi: a 1440, 4.0 HS GPA, Lots of AP's, 3.8 Grinnell GPA?

You really call that no chance???
Then we are all sunk.

That's what I say! She is being EXTREMELY modest!

Intimidation tactic...just kidding.

"I e-mailed one dean asking her about ISIS and if all students that applied were able to log on...she just said that current students are able to do this. So what the hell does this mean???"

wmrocks- I hope it means if we can log on AND change our password, we've been accepted. Still, we have the dreaded wait and another night of no sleep.

Katt i would say that is a very promising thing. I think that she is basically telling you by not telling you that you got in. I really like my chances now that you got that e-mail. I know you may find it hard to believe that we all got in, I don't because i feel that through this forum and posting about getting in we have shown that we really care and i think that our applications reflected our desire and attend and acheive greatness at the University of Virginia.

I think the best way to go about getting an answer to our question is if one of our parents calls the admission office and says something to the effect of, "Hello. My son/daughter, who submitted a transfer application for Fall 2005, was talking to me today about something called ISIS and how he/she is able to log in to the service. Does this mean he/she is accepted since it is a student-only system, or are all transfers added to the database automatically?"

Are anyone's parents willing to do this? Mine aren't because they are out of town.

i have no chance because: i'm out of state, my gpa for hs and college was 3.75 (i found an article online quoting an adcom saying they normally dont consider kids with 3.7's), i've done no significant ec's in college and my course load has been extremely unbalanced (open curriculum) and i don't even come close to satisfying the uva distribution requirement (which on the app it says is one of the primary factors). of course one can always hope, but i'm pretty sure the isis thing is nothing.

You can definitely HOPE!!! Hello! Where did you get that 3.7 stat?! That is way way way off! Their average successful transfer applicant has a 3.4. You are definitely in the running! Good luck.

Bigpack- I didn't send that email, wmrocks did.

gosh i pray these letters come tomorrow....this suspense is the WORST

My thoughts-

The ISIS thing means nothing. It's just easier for UVa to automatically enter every applicant than later adding only the people who got in...just my opinion.

Mine worked too. Although this probably doesn't mean anything. Oh well.
