UVa Status???

I think we can almost safely say that everyone has been able to log-in?

Sounds ideal, but HIGHLY unlikely that we're all getting in. I'm now depressed again.

Someone needs to call and get the official word.

I just called...they are closed. 8am-4:45pm

Ok, I have no idea where all of you are loging in. This is nuts! Help!

christophsky, you're kidding right? ANY question about being accepted will NOT be answered over the phone no matter who calls, under any circumstances. The lucky ones will get something in the mail soon. The unlucky will have to wait to the 1st.

neboola - http://www.virginia.edu/registrar/

click box with ISIS and have fun...

Ummm...I think he's trying to call about the ISIS confusion.

Stumper, is it really a hard and fast rule that rejected students are notified last?

Christophski - Sorry for the PM beatdown, but I don't think it was a good idea to alert "admissions" about ISIS access. Are you really surprised they haven't responded yet? I wonder why?

It may be nothing, but do you wanna even risk ending up like the Harvard MBA apps? What if we unknowingly violated a rule?

wow...there REALLY must not be much do at William and Mary on the weekends...

I think if you are waiting for a decision, there is really not much to do anywhere.

I dare myself not to come back to this site for two weeks! It'll probably end up being two hours... just shows you how much I'd rather go to UVA than WM.

Thanks Stumper. I did finally figure it out. So question is would they bother to create extra 10,000 accounts, or would they rather have to create 5,000 accounts in a week of time? Hmm...

Stumper, I think you left an 'S' off of the PM...But seriously, I'll admit it probably wasn't the wisest thing to do. However, I didn't read anything on the application or elsewhere stating that ISIS is off limits. I doubt we have violated anything. They aren't going to reject us because we trespassed the forbidden Gates of ISIS.

neboola, I highly doubt there were 10,000 applicants. 2,500 - 3,000 seems more reasonable.

I was counting all applicants. But if you look at transfers than I should be in good shape, 60% of the people that apply from my college, get in. Though I have not met anybody that applied.

I heard that there are only 500 transfer seats only 35 comm seats. Is that so? If I get in my head is going to feel very big, at least until the first class.

Has it been two weeks already? Time flies in nebooland.

Trespassing? Yeah, we'll all go to jail for knowing our DOB and SSN

"wow...there REALLY must not be much do at William and Mary on the weekends..."

What's referring to?

Anyway that Wahoo kid heard back on the 16th of last year...so let's hope that we'll get something in teh mail tommorrow...

::sigh::

hey i got my wm invite last saturday! saturday just might be the lucky day. i think we got at least a whole extra week of speculations though

I agree. It would hardly be called trespassing since we're able to use our SS# and DOB as stated in the instructions to log-in. No harm done.

I haven't noticed any restrictions and perhaps I'm a little paranoid, but how would you feel if this were to happen to you? What if admissions deemed it an honor violation?

http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20050308103709990002

yeah but that lil harvard scam was different from doin the isis thing...now if you all put the effort to go through the site scripts/follow instructions from a hacker...i think it'd get pretty damn ugly...those guys fell in to a trap and just shoulda known better...apparently a hacker found out the site where they prepost the decisions for loading later on...which is NOT public by any means...using ISIS and other stuff readily available through the frames of the site are totally legit

personally...i'm thinking admissions loads information on to isis from all applicants and current students just to show your current status and what not....and makes no conjuncture as to whether you got accepted or not....i think it's basically just more of an organization utility to make it easier to file/review applications and (for current students) transcripts or what not. Just a little way committees and other offices within the university can find your information by simply plugging in your SS and DOB

Yeah, I think your probably correct, nahrafsfa. As much as we want to believe it means we're in if we're able to log-in, I don't think that's the case. :( Hope we don't have too much longer now. At least I was able to sleep last night.

ok check this...i go and check my mail...TWO letters from UVa...I get all excited and then they end up being for my little sister's orientation >:O
