Please give me your honest thoughts, I am ready!!! Thanks all so much!

Yeah I was in-state. I was disappointed as well, but my SAT is on the low end so probably thats why. Good luck with your application process!Hopefully we can both make it haha!!!

your stats look great. i’m applying to uva too and i’m really confused about their first supplemental essay where it asks about how the possible career or professional plans indicated on the common app that relate to the planned course of study. I don’t see any section on the common app where they ask anything about possible career or professional plans? where is that section?

Thanks!
I was also confused about that essay topic, and as you pointed out, it was no where to be found on the application. But I think I may be referring to the 250 min essay (why you wanna transfer). In that essay I talked about my major and areas of interest and how UVA would help to enhance my studies in those sections. To be safe, I just restated what I planned on studying at UVA.
Good luck on your admissions!!!

Hello! I’m currently a freshman at NYU and I wanted to know if I could get some feedback on my chances on being admitted as a transfer student to UVA and also W&M

Total: 18 credit hours

EC-

Health Leads (volunteer work with patients at hospital) - at least 8 hours a week

I didn’t get into either college in my senior year =/

I feel like my personal statements are much better though? I know my GPA is ridiculously low, but I just wanted some feedback on my chances :P

The average transfer GPA for UVA is 3.4-3.5, so it isn’t ridiculously low, especially since your high school grades were very high and still hold a lot of influence in the admissions process. I would say admission is possible. Are you in-state for W&M/UVA? That could help your chances.

flyeagles -

I don’t know how I missed your response before but thank you!! I’m doing GAA through VCCS so I’m not too worried :)

yes I am a virginia resident! the financial issues that come with NYU and living in NYC is a huge factor in why I want to transfer to a virginia school Thanks so much for the feedback though I really do appreciate it!
