Pre-Calculus Honors

Economics Honors
Dual Enrollment English
Dual Enrollment Spanish

*My school is a small private school with limited funding. It's a very good school academically (college preparatory), but it offers very few AP courses (3 I think), so I've tried to take advantage of most of the Dual Enrollment courses which I consider just as difficult as A courses. Also, at my school, Theology is a required course all 4 years, so that also limits the amount of academic courses I can take.

*My school is EXTREMELY competitive. We have a 100 % college acceptance rate at my school and there's a lot of pressure to do well.

I'm ranked 12/85 which isn't great obviously, but the kids above me are pure geniuses.

My GPA: The computer figures above are inaccurate, I'm not sure why.

Let's see...what else?

My brother-in-law graduated from the UVA School of Business.
I have a 4.31 GPA weighted.

Thanks!

SAT 2's? Have you taken any and what were your scores?

You seem to be in good shape for Texas, and UVA seems like a low reach because you are OOS. Florida looks good for you, because you are in-state and are somewhat above their averages, although they have been getting more and more selective over the years.

If you want to...
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/621725-took-risk-blew-any-hope-left.html

ive taken the SAT II Literature and Math I. They're required at UVA but not at UF or UT. I didn't even send them to UF and UT. UVA has received them. They said they can only help you, but they can't hurt you. Here are the scores:

Math: 560
Literature: 620

I know those scores are really bad, but I only had one opportunity to take them and I was really sick on the test day...

UT Austin is a bit tough for OOS ppl like you, but your stats are strong so I think you should get in. I think UF should be close to a lock since you are in-state. I am not sure about UVa, since you are OOS, but I don't think they have that big of an in-state preference and those SAT 2 subject scores are a bit low. But your SAT/ACT may do the trick I'm pretty damn sure you will get into at least one of these three though.

Plz chance back:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/641720-chances-ucla-uc-berkeley-usc.html

Thanks

I asked about the SAT 2s because I'm willing to chance you for UVA and I know nothing about the other two. I'd say your chances at UVA are less than 50/50 but there is always reason for hope. Your GPA is great and you come from a competitive school. On the other hand, your SATs are brought down by the math score. I think lack of APs will hurt. Even with the duel enrollment you don't have very much there. Your EC's are lengthy but the only one that seems to show a lot of passion is the sports camp. If your essay knocks their socks off and your recs are stunning you can get in. It's a tough year. UVA has received over 21,000 apps for under 4,000 openings. Good luck.

well, UVA is definitely hard because you are OOS but a 30 on the ACT is good and your ECs are very nice, so i think you can get in to all of those places

chance me back at
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/635725-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html

I'd say you have a great shot at all three.

UF: 85% chance.
UT: 50%-60% shot (only because you're OOS).

I don't really know too much about UVA's admissions process other than that they are tough. So I'll reserve comment on UVA for someone who knows what they're talking about =).

I'm applying to UF as a polisci major as well, so maybe we'll both end up there in the fall!
