Any help is appreciated to help with my college list!

Try to bring up your scores a little bit for a better chance at UMich. They are now right below admission average. Pre-admission to Ross at UMich is very competitive and it will be a reach due to low admission rate. LSA would be a low reach.

You’re pretty much guarunteed to get into UNC since you’re in-state and you’re way above their stats. You have good chances at all of these schools but OOS admission for UVA is very tough so don’t count on being accepted. Michigan is not AS competitive for OOS students as schools like UNC and UVA so you have a good shot there as well. If you really want to increase your chances at UVA and UMich, get SAT up to 2200+.

@agc1998 Do you have any data for OOS admission at UVA and UNC? Probably UMich OOS admission rate is not as tough (~27% last year and should be near 20% this year), but with scores below admission average does not help.

Update: I just found the OOS admission rate at UNC to be 18% last year. So the admission rate is lower than UMich for OOS applicants, however, the mid 50 test scores are lower for UNC. So for the same score, the OOS admission chance at UNC may or may not be lower.
For UVA, the OOS admission rate in 2013 was 24.5%. It is not much lower than UMich.

@billcsho I toured UVA and during their presentation before the tour, they said about 20-25% of OOS applicants are admitted each year and about 40% of in state people are admitted. UNC admits 53% in-state and OP is in state for UNC. Their SAT is in the upper percentiles for UNC and the fact that they have a 4.0 pretty much guarantees admission into UNC

@agc1998 According to your data, UNC and UMich ARE as competitive for OOS applicants. But I agree that OP should have a good chance at UNC as in state applicant.
