I will have a 3.7 with 46 credits as an out of state student after Winter break. I went to a 4 year school in the pac 12 last year, and the semester that just ended I finished with a 4.0 with a 15 credit course load. I am taking 2 classes right now over winter break (Sucks). I will have 7 straight A’s on my transcript for this year, which is 21 credits straight with all A’s. For some this is the norm, but for me this was a pretty big achievement. I hope the hard work I put in allows me the options I want.
Please let me know what you think, or should I just stick to the schools closer to home since I’m from the north east.
Which school you attended?
Here’s an issue with transfers into the UC system, they have strict class requirements for transfer, including a minimum of 60 semester units of transferable credit… Have you looked into that? http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/preparing-admission/minimum-requirements/index.html
They don’t accept every class you’ve taken especially if you are from OOS. Priority admission goes to California CC students.
Also, there is no financial aid, and at $55k per year the UC’s are very expensive.
USC is at $70k per year.
I am a college transfer, this would be for fall 2016
I attended the University of Arizona and currently a CC in Long Island, New York.
