I've wanted to be a writer all my life. What media I wanted to write in has flip flopped over time, but over the past few years or so, I've become pretty set on screenwriting (For television, not really a movie fan). Though, general novel/creating writing is still not completely out of the picture.

And yes, this is a risky dream, hence why I plan to study political science, which I'm interested in as well.

That said, which college would be the most logical choice?

UVA's instate tuition is extremely tempting, especially considering it's rank and prestige. I believe it's political science program is pretty good, and it has a film minor. I really love the challenging environment here, which is very important to me. Kind of iffy on the Greek Life (Not really my type), and the surrounding area (it's a little quiet compared to what I grew up in). Still, it seems sort of crazy to turn down a school this prestigious.

But on the other hand, I absolutely fell in love with Boston's campus. It was pretty much straight out of my dreams. Despite living in VA for almost my entire life, I felt so much more comfortable here. And they have a Film/Television major, which seems a little stronger than the film program at UVA. But on the other hand I haven't really seen much about their political science program (which is much more likely to get me an actual job). They're offering me the Presidential Scholarship (20k per year), but it's still ~15k more than UVA.

Any help would be appreciated, I'd really like to know more about the programs at both of these schools before making a decision...
