D has admissions offers to above (plus American, but that is down the list) and is trying to evaluate the institutions for academic and social qualities. She's visited each of them, lives in NY, and plans to study international relations/government (Cornell=communication with international focus). She also wants to continue to play music (violin) and sing (perhaps acapella) on campus, tho does not intend to major in music. Any insights regarding strength of music program, general characteristics of student body and campus feel would be appreciated.

UVa has so many accapella groups on Ground.

For social life, UVa's the best on your list, as well.

Check out the Center for Politics @ UVa, you can google it. It's started by our very own Larry Sabato, the most quoted professor on any U.S. campus by Wall Street Journal.

Tuft's IR is also very good, I heard.

Cornell's undergrad should be great as well. you should listen to more opinions.
