I’ve been accepted to both of these schools and am now stuck between choosing either one. I don’t want to go to medical school, but am interested in studying molecular biology and public health and am deciding about a career in biological engineering. I’m kind of indecisive about my exact academic path so I’d just like some info about the schools. UVA does have a biomedical engineering major and I’ve heard it’s a well-rounded school overall, But it’s pretty large so I’m not sure if I’ll have many research opportunities. Georgetown is smaller and has STIA and Biology of Human Health majors which will give me a background in biology, public health, biotech, and economics but no biomed engineering. What is the quality of undergrad biosciences at each school? How rigorous are they? Thanks!
