UVA vs Lehigh (IDEAS)

Hi everyone! I wanted to get some feedback on my current college situation. I have narrowed my selection down to two schools, Lehigh and UVA, and I am completely torn between the two. I live in NJ, so I will be paying OOS tuition for UVA, so money isn’t a huge factor (lehigh is slightly cheaper).
Both schools are phenomenal and Im glad I have the opportunity to go to either of them. I was accepted to UVA’s college of arts and sciences and Lehigh’s IDEAS program (integrated degree in engineering and sciences). Right now, Im torn between pursuing a career in engineering, and possibly following a pre med track and going to medical school. Since im so unsure, im leaning towards the Lehigh program because it gives me the flexibility to move between the school of engineering and the school of arts and sciences, while at UVA I would be locked into the College of Arts and Sciences and I would have to formally transfer to the engineering college if I decided down the road I want to be an engineer. Despite this, I feel as UVA is an opportunity that I shouldn’t pass up on, as it is an amazing school.
In terms of the social scene, I see myself being very happy at both schools, although UVA has the upper hand because it has D1 sports and a lot of school spirit.
If anyone would be able to provide me with some insight that would be incredibly helpful! Thanks!

@lucky0318 Congrats on the great options. Tough decision. I’d vote Lehigh because (1) the IDEAS program is an impressive honors program for only 30-40 students, (2) it does not appear you would be in an honors program at UVa, (3) needing to transfer into the UVa College of Engineering if you want engineering, whereas at Lehigh you would not need to, and (4) if you end up pre-med, it’s really about GPA and MCAT. Just seems like you are more set up for success at Lehigh, though you cannot go wrong with either.
