self explanatory..i dont really know what i want to study..i started out as a math/science kid now im thinking about economics, international relations..but might choose bio or neuroscience in the end..im not sure...

as far as FA goes, i got all aid in grants 30K and fed loans 20K for NYU...last time I checked UVA it just had 8K loans, but its only the first day and I'm pretty sure they will add grants, just dont know how much..

personally i always loved nyc and urban campus...i know it will be a lot of fun. At the same time, it can be hard living there, its definitely gonna kick my ass, but Im ready for the challenege, and i hope i become a better person because of it..

can anyone compare, from an academic standpoint these two schools. which would be more impressive to ivy grad schools and employers in the city (ny, la)

Both universities have top business programs comparable to ivy grad schools. I’m not totally sure how they rank in the field of economics, being a finance major myself. NYU probably has better career recruitment and the experience is definitely unique, but in terms of academic rankings they aren’t that far apart. I’m applying to both and would definitely choose NYU but that’s because I love NYC and urban living. If I was instate for VA though it would be a much harder decision. It just depends on your financial situation and what type of environment you prefer.

wow i’m in exactly the same situation as you-
did you get into nyu stern?

if you didn’t get into nyu stern, then i think uva would be a better choice academically.

but if you did get into nyu stern, i think both are pretty similar academically. i’m leaning towards nyu b/c it’s more well known than uva, even though uva does better in rankings.
