accepted by both schools and Rochester gave me $10000per year...I'd like to major in business though i really like the liberal atmosphere in rochester...I know UVa definitely has better business program but economics is also OK to me...so where should I go?
Thanks.

i got into both.....Rochester was my second/third choice and i went to UVa and UVA's program trounces Rochester's economics by far! so definitely UVA

quite frankly, whatever the extra cost of UVa is, it is worth it come here over URochester...and 10k at Rochester makes the cost about even to UVa's OOS cost.

Congratulations, both are great schools, but have very different feels. We are in-state, but my son chose Rochester because he liked the smaller size of the school, the flexibility of the curriculum, the opportunity to do research as an undergrad, the lack of "snobbery" or "preppiness" that he felt when he visited UVA, and believe it or not - the weather -- he loves snow. That said, my brother and niece both went to UVA and loved it. If you can, I would suggest that you try to visit both campuses, not the "official" tour, but sit in on a few classes, spend some time with the students -- and I bet your decision will become clear. Good luck.
