I've got accepted to both schools. How is UVA different from UNC in social life, academics (including professor-student ratio, gradschool acceptance, diversity of courses, faculties etc.), and facilities? I'm trying to find my better fit. I've been to both schools, Charlottesville and Chapel Hill, liked them both, but prefered Charlottesville in this matter (It's closer to my home, and seemed less crowded. But as I said if there is something, a major attraction that I didn't know, I would happily go to UNC.). I would like to study business. How is the business program in UNC? It's ranked in the 4th, but I would like to know more specifics. Any comments would be appreciated.

UVA has a great undergraduate business school and is not burdened by being so close to Duke.........no brainer...........

jeewoonrim, they're both excellent schools. They both have a lot of similarities. I don't think anyone can, at this point, persuade you one way or the other. It sounds like you have enough information to make a decision on your own. BTW, what do you mean when you ask how the business program is at UNC? And what do you mean when you say it's ranked 4th?

well.. GoodOldSOng, some might think it as a burden, but I think it's a benefit to be next to another excellent school.

Cavalier302, I meant that UNC's undergraduate business program is ranked 4th in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report. Sorry about that. I was in a bit of hurry. well.. I was hoping to get any, really any, information about undergrad business program in UNC. I wasn't very serious about this school when I applied, but later realized that it could be a good fit for me. Anyway, thanks for help and good luck on your college decision.

I wouldn't worry about USNews rankings in this case. UVA and UNC are very similar in a lot of ways. Which one is cheaper for you?
