I got in both and i cant decide where to go
im studyin engineering btw

Both are great schools, even in engineering. I think UVa's engineering is a little better, but both have their strengths.

Compare their locations as well. Vanderbilt is in the heart of Nashville, a wonderful city, my grandparents live there, but you will definitely know you are in the south. UVa is in a more laid back setting, and combines southern hospitality with influences from all over.

Visit both, talk to professors and students, and the decision should come to you.

They're both excellent schools with a lot of similarities. Make sure to visit both before making any kind of decision. How much will they cost you?

In-state would be a better deal, unless you're extremely high or low on the income scale.

Or unless Vandy gives you merit aid, which Virginia doesn't give...
