I don't know what to do. I graduated early and am currently attending a VCCS school. I'm planning on getting a 4.0 and transferring after this year. I really intend on going to medical school. The thing is, I'm very interested in my violin. I play a lot, and I want to learn more about it and do pre-med at the same time. UVA's music program isn't that great, but it's a nationally known school. VCU is #1 in arts amongst public schools - I think #4 nationally. I really love the campus and the vibe I get from it. The music program is pretty awesome, too. UVA..I just get a very preppy, snobby feel from it. I want to go to whatever medical school I want though if I can keep up my grades and get a high MCAT.

Will coming from a not-really-known university affect my chances of getting into medical schools? I'm planning on doing VCU honors while I'm in the music program there..
