DD22 is having a hard time deciding between the 2 her major would be political Science and wants to go to law school after. Any info or recommendations would be great! Thank you!
Both are fine schools. If one is less costly than the other, perhaps consider that when making the decision.
Law school = save $. Short of that one is in a small city, major college with football etc. the other is suburban and smaller. Both are fine.
If one is going to law school, getting a great LSAT and grades matter most + work experience.
I’d find a cheaper one if OOS full pay (at uva) nd full pay at Nova. Both are fine.
She should go with her preference (assuming finances are similar). Both can get her where she wants to go.
Any school can get you where you want to go, it just depends on where you want to go.
She did get need based aid which was so nice. UVA would cost about $5,000 a year more. Villanova is much closer for us also only about 35 minutes so there wouldn’t be really any travel costs.
OP stated that law school is the goal.
You can get to law school by attending just about any college as long as you do well on your LSAT, and have a great GPA.
Also, law school does not require any particular undergraduate major (although some areas of law may favor some types of majors, such as patent law and science or engineering undergraduate majors).
