I believe that my essays are strong. Please and thank you for reviewing this

You will most likely be accepted into VCU. UVA is a reach but it is a reach for everybody. You have a chance with Tech depending on your major since your extracurricular are strong. I would not send in your AP scores if they are lower than a 3.

I feel you have a really good shot at VA Tech,especially if your essays are good, and as the above poster has said will most likely get accepted at VCU…I don’t know anything about UVA, but seeing the acceptance rate I think you would find it very tough with that SAT score, if you raise it to near 2100 , then I think you should get selected to all your choices.

Chance me back here…<a href=“MY LAST CHANCE THREAD.......Please give your opinions... - #5 by burak96 - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>MY LAST CHANCE THREAD.......Please give your opinions... - #5 by burak96 - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums;

I say that you’re in at VTech and VCU. I know people who’ve gotten in with much less. Both have pretty high acceptance rates, too. As long as you’re not applying for Engineering, you shouldn’t have a problem.

UVA is a little more unpredictable. I know some people that have honestly gotten in with much less than you, but also know people that didn’t get in with much more than you. I can’t really say with certainty, but I definitely think that your SAT score is not helping your GPA. You still definitely have a shot because you’re in-state, but it’s not a for-sure thing by any means. Trust me, I understand. I’m in the same boat. If you’re SAT score comes out and it’s closer to the 1950-2000 area, then you’ll probably be a lot stronger of an applicant (especially if you’re Semester 1 grades are really solid).

Also, would you be willing to chance me back? I’m looking at similar schools…

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1722473-my-final-chance-thread-chances-at-uva-w-m-wake-forest-vcu-and-fordham.html</a></p>

I’d have to agree that you have a good chance at both VCU and VT. UVA I feel is a low to mid reach, but it’s pretty unpredictable. With a higher SAT score you can really improve your chances there.

Chance back?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1719769-what-are-my-chances.html</a></p>

I think UVA is unlikely with a weighted 3.8. They really like to see an unweighted GPA in that range; the average weighted GPA for admitted IS students is more like 4.3, for denied applicants closer to 3.9. If your unweighted GPA is lower than about 3.7, you are unlikely to get in. (Your current SAT score is also hurting you, but at least you can still bring that up significantly.)

On the other hand, I have no idea what effect being a registered tribe member would provide your application. That’s a very unusual hook. I think you should draw connections to it in your essays.
