Uva

I have applied to transfer starting UVA as a 2nd year student in the College of Arts & Sciences for Poli Sci.

My High school stats are weighted 4.1. Unweighted 3.3.

I took all IB/AP and finished high school in 3 years.

I am currently at a private school in Hawaii. My GPA is 4.0/Honors/Dean's list.

SAT 590-Math 570-Reading

Adversity is about 5/5 - Fully independent at 19 doing good.

What do you think?

P.S. Extra-curriculars - President's Leader Scholars

I am in-state

not sure about the basics for transfer applicants, but your GPA is definitly a positive, however there are probably numerous people with 4.0’s since those grades are just from first semester, the SAT’s are on the low side, but I don’t think they weigh the HS stats as much as what you’ve accomplished and done in college, so you might have a good chance if you’ve been involved at your school and collected some accomplishments

Thank you,

I wanted to add that I am a VA resident. I heard in-state is easier to get accepted?

Get a higher SAT score, you’d be pretty close.
