Uva?

First, I put a lot of thought into this before I decided to post it up... I didn't want to get discouraged but I need to know what my chances are.
I have to go to work soon so I can't write much.
My sat scores were 1590
but it was my first time taking it and I didn't prep at all.
I rank 15/443 students in my class.
my gpa weighted is 4.4 unweighted is 4.0
I take all AP classes that are available and passed with As in the class.
Im also first generation, all the good stuff that colleges look for.
but I lack SAT scores.
UVA average is around 1800-2000.

Please tell me the truth!
Thank you:)

You better have some ecs and leadership positions to go along with it. Where you live is also a factor. You better raise that sat score up to like a 2000~ Have good teacher recs and essays and you should be fine… that is if you live in state… LOL. it’s going to be a toughie if you live outside of VA. Best of luck and chance me back!

Thanks so much!
I came back from work, so here is more details about me:D
Leadership:
VP of NHS
VP of NAHS and soon to be President

Chamber Orchestra
Section Leader
Piano (10+ years)
Taekwondo (4 years)
Tennis 2 years
Drama club 1 year
SEAL all four years

I currently have all the seals that you can get on the diploma except the technical engineering one?? not sure what it is called…

I’m also Asian, and live in Va:)

I don’t know why my math scores were so low… (currently taking AP math course)

Unless you significantly raise your SAT scores, UVa is a reach.

By how much would you say?? I was pretty shocked myself that my scores were so low…
English is my second language…ehh lol

Anyway thanks!

Just raise your scores up to a 1800-2000 range and you should be good! If better, then you’re a shoe-in(: Keep at it and good luck this Saturday!

At least 2000.

It’s a reach but I say shoot for the stars and apply. You should study and retake the SAT’s in Oct. or Nov. Good Luck :)

0% chance with a 1590 unless your a recruited athlete. Hit 2k and your chances will jump.
