UVA's art program?

Hey guys, I'm planning on majoring in art. I applied for UVA because I'm a Virginia resident and would get instate tuition. I just got accepted, but I am a bit hesitant on committing because I can't really find a whole lot of information about UVA's art program. The website does give a general overview of what is required and what is taught, but my main concern is how good the program is compared to art programs in, let's say, University of Michigan.

Any responses would be much appreciated!

The Art Dept. has an art history subdivision and a studio art subdivision; I assume you’re interested in studio art. There are some cool faculty in Studio Art, and they have recently moved into a snazzy new building. Since you’re instate, why don’t you visit, talk to students and faculty in the program, and take a look at the things they’re doing? That would be the best way of finding out about it.

I don’t know why you made this a brand new thread, you already asked about it here and got answers. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-virginia/483998-uva-vs-university-michigan-2.html
