<p>UVa likes to tear stuff down and rebuild for the heck of it and because they have a substantial flow of money. From New Dorms to Cabell to the entire South Lawn thing, it's amusing. But, someone please tell me what on earth are they doing with Clark Hall/Brown Library?!?!</p>

<p>yea the construction is annoying, it used to wake me up in the mornings. i think it's more annoying, though, that i can see clark from my window this year and don't have any classes there this semeser. seriously.</p>
<p>This is a good time to remember Milton Friedman's dictum to the effect that colleges serve three functions: Instruction, research, and monument-erection. =D</p>
