Starting the thread for those who applied EA. UVM is at the top of the list so can’t wait to hear.
DS has applied and is very interested. Have yet to visit, but it looks like a fit on paper. Good luck!
I hate the wait!
Anybody know when EA decisions are supposed to post?
Decisions are supposed to post on 12/13.
One month to go…
12/13 at 5PM right online via the app stats page they sent!
Will merit post on 12/14 in the portal? I thought I recalled looking at last year’s thread and that’s what happened. Vermont should be our daughter’s first one on the board for both acceptance and merit, so very exciting.
We are hoping that the npc is accurate. Really interesting to play with their npc. You can adjust gpa and act and see exactly where the change points are. I even changed the high school to one i know isn’t as good and that lowered the merit. The only thing i didn’t know if how they calculate gpa so there’s still some question even if it is accurate.
Yes, it is my understanding that UVM intends to post both decisions and merit awards on 12/13. How exciting!
14 days guys!!! 2 weeks!!! Good luck to everyone
This waiting is awful.
Yeah you are right! It will be worse for RD schools though!
9 more days!!
D applied. It will be her first acceptance (hopefully!)
My D has one acceptance down. She has 5-6 schools which should be responding around 12/12 to X-mas time. Nerve wracking!!! Good luck to your D @ilovebillyjoel! I am more of a Metallica fan but can appreciate Billy Joel as a musician!
D applied EA…the wait is awful!
Good luck to you all. My daughter got in this time last year. She chose UVM over UCLA, UC Davis, Boulder, Oregon, Cal poly, UCSB and many others with the merit plus UVM grant. She is loving her freshman year and is OOS from Hawaii! ?
@jaloha
I assume cost was important? What else factored into the decision?
Long ways from Hawaii!
Aloha and Mahalo!
@jaloha Hawaii to Vermont? Wow! Glad she is loving UVM. It’s a great school in a fantastic town. UVM is either #2 or #3 on my son’s list. Hoping for a positive outcome on Thursday.
I understand acceptance and merit will post this week, but what about need-based financial aid?
