UVM-GPA needed for different colleges

Is it easier to get into some of the colleges at UVM? For example, do you need a higher GPA for arts and sciences than you do for the college of education and social services?

never bumped up a thread before; curious about this as well…

Not sure if you need a higher GPA for the different colleges. I can tell you my D is a freshman in the college of arts and sciences and got in with a GPA of 3.53.

I know the nursing program is very competitive. Only 50 in the program. My D"s room mate got into A and S and tried to transfer into nursing. She had straight A’s, and out of state full tuition. She ended up transferring to Univ of Miami nursing. My other D is in the business school, also very competitive. Their agriculture school is also awesome and competitive.

Yes. The nursing school is very competitive as they only take 50 students. The agriculture school is top drawer and can be selective. My one daughter is in the business school which is also more selective. I think the school of arts and sciences might be easier. Heath sciences are very popular there, as they have a good program, and a great medical school.
