UVM of Baruch College for business?

Hi. I'm a freshman at University of Vermont and I major in business administration with concentration in finance and business analytics with a minor in Computer Science. I am dual US citizen that spent my whole life in Europe before coming here to the U.S. I picked UVM primarily because of its relatively high reputation in national rankings and most importantly a great scholarship and financial aid package. I really like this place, and since I love skiing and hiking it's a great place to pursue those interests. On the other hand there are some disadvantages so far: I don't have any real friends here and I don't feel like I am fully involved in the campus activities besides playing intramural and basketball club. It also seems like the business school here isn't so great in terms of future connections and networking with employers.

I am used to living in a big city back home and I'm still getting used to living in such a small town. The biggest challenge for me is the language barrier. Even though I speak almost fluent english I luck in knowledge of american slang etc and therefore it's hard to make new american friends here. There are very few international students here and we don't hang out together cause I live on the other side of the campus.

Taking my family's situation into consideration there is only one school I could be able to transfer to: Baruch College in New York City. I'd love to live in a big city again and in addition I like its multicultural both student body and population of the city. I also have a lot of relatives in the area. I'd have no problem adjusting to that completely different college lifestyle, which is btw almost the same as in Europe (Commuting to school etc). I will pay almost the same amount of money there as here at UVM so the only real question is: Should I apply for transfer? Is Baruch College more respected in terms of business that UVM is? Is it worth it if I plan on working in the business field in the future?

My first-semester GPA at UVM will be around 3.7 - 4.0 depending on the final exams' grades.
