<p>I am interested in attending UW, but I was wondering how the business program works. If you arent submitted as a freshmen into the Foster School, would you have to wait until Sophomore year? And if so, would you have to do 4 more years of school after your Sophomore year in the Foster school?</p>

<p>Coming from someone who was admitted to the UW Business School…</p>

<p>Once you get into the business school, it takes only about 2 years to finish if you take mostly business classes. I believe you can get in the Business School either Fall or Winter quarter. So if you don’t get in as a freshman for fall, you probably won’t get in Winter either ,and will have to apply again next year for Sophomore. But it’s okay, most get in as Juniors anyways. Until then, complete your general requirements. If you do that, you will easily be on pace to graduate in 4 years.</p>

<p>What’s the acceptance rate of the sophomore applicants who applied to Foster Business School, after satisfying all their GE requirements? S participated in an online CHAT event, and was told approximately 200 students were admitted via Freshman Direct, and 600 slots will be made available to sophomore each year. About how many students apply the 2nd year? Is it extremely competitive?</p>

<p>Well, it’s pretty competitive. I think the Avg. Cumm. GPA of the ones who get admitted is around 3.6. While the Avg. GPA for the required classes that they look at more closely is 3.7. Overall though, it’s one of the more competitive programs in UW.</p>

<p>How hard is it to get into UW’s business school if you are coming in as a pre-major??</p>

<p>Do those 3.6 cumulative GPA and 3.7 pre-req GPA include people admitted from community colleges and other universities or is it just people who already go to UW? I hear the magic number to get into the business school is around a 3.3 if you already attend UW.</p>
