I am a prospective pre engineering freshmen at UW and applying for housing right now but still hesitating about which dorms to put for first preference. I am looking for a dorm that have a a private bathroom or only shared with few people not the hole floor. Thats the most important thing for me. How much does it cost??? I heard that the new dorms are nice but expensive. I dont mind to live on north or west campus. </p>

<p>Alder, Poplar, and Elm are all new dorms that have bathrooms in each room. They are quite a bit more expensive, but honestly I think the private bathroom is worth it… if you want a more freshman-oriented dorm, pick Alder.</p>

<p>I believe in McMahon, you only have to share a bathroom with the people in your cluster. I think there is 8 people in the cluster, but I may be wrong.</p>
