For University of Washington there is one required essay, but then there are two optional essays. How optional are these essays really are? I know for different people with different grades it might be different. Here’s my situation and tell me if you think I should write the other two or not…or maybe just one: I have a 3.76 gpa, taking 3 AP’s this year (Bio, Comp, Calc), 27 ACT’s, played a bunch of sports, have a job, good community service, I’m also OUT OF STATE (CA). So, what do you think, should I write on 1 or 2 of the other essays? Any recommendations helpful.

<p>I'm writing on all three -- but that's because I have things to explain regarding my transcript. I don't think it's going to harm your admission chances NOT to write on the additional essays unless you have something on your transcript that you can't explain.</p>
