I'm probably going to attend UW foster school of business for my undergrad degree. I know UW Foster isn't really a prestigious college but how's employment opportunity in seattle and PNW? Do you recommend that I pursue a specific major?

I’m sure you will be in a good spot for Seattle jobs. You should major in something that reflects your career goals.

UW-F is a fine school. My only concern is the lack of a placement office just for the B school. Still places best in Seattle of any school.

is seattle not the place for you if you want to get job experiences for MBA school admissions?

I did a thing on cities a little while ago and Seattle only has an office for 1 of the top 4 consulting firms (according to Vault rankings) and 2 of the top 8 investment banks. That’s obviously not a lot, but it puts it in a 4-way tie for 13th most offices.

Seattle is a city for entrepreneurs–not resume builders. If you look at any list for the founding of new companies–that’s where you will see Seattle. High tech, biotech, communications, gaming, etc.

thanks a lot everyone!
