Hi everyone, this is my first time posting to college confidential!

I am an undergraduate student at an Oregon community college and will be receiving an associates degree for business transfer. i will have taken econ 201 202 , financial and managerial accounting, business calc 1 and 2 and all prerequisites for Oregon universities. i am currently looking for schools to transfer to and university of Washington is my first choice. i really want to get in to the foster school of business. i know it is competitive, i currently have a 3.98 college gpa and when i took the SAT i got a 1780 my question is if i have shot at getting in, what i need to do, and if i can get into the foster school of business at the same time as i get into the university ( as i do not want to go to UW if i dont get in to FSB)

i will be graduating fall of next year and hope to get in during the spring of 2016 please let me know if you have any advice or any answers to my question!
also, if you have any other schools that are comparable to foster school of business i would love to hear them!

All you can do is apply. It is very competitive and spaces are limited, only half of applicants are admitted.

You will have to apply to UW and Foster separately. This will make for some tricky timing as the schedules are different and you may have a gap from when you are finished at CC to your transfer. Foster admits for Summer or Autumn and Winter only. Go over everything on the transfer pages carefully Also the required prereq classes to be sure they match up…

You will be considered an OOS student. Can you afford UW?

Thanks for the replies! I have some time so I will be picking up some ECs, I already have a demanding pt job and I am part of the cc honor society. @Erin’s dad, cost is a big factor for me. No I’m not sure that I can afford it but it’s my goal school so I’m hoping I can find the funding, family, scholarships, grants, loans etc… I just haven’t found any Oregon schools that wow me like UW… I haven’t spent much time looking at private Universities but then again comes the money issue.

If there is any advice you guys have or other good business schools you have in mind I would love to do more research.
Thanks again!

and my mistake guys, i will be applying for winter of next year
