UW (Honors) vs. USC?

Hi all,

My college choices are now between UW and USC. I got into UW honors as well, but I don't know if that's worth it. Can you guys help me in my decision process?

I'm not sure what I want to major in. I used to want to major in Computer Science (CSE at UW or CS & Business at USC), but I'm also considering pre-med. I also have an interest in economics.

I've been living in Seattle for almost six years. I'm not in love with the weather, but I've gotten used to it. I think I can deal with it for four more years just fine, but I'd much prefer the sun in LA.

What are you guys' thoughts?

Personally, if you live in Washington then the attendance is going to be a lot lower for U vs USC.If you are going into medicine UW would also be a perfect fit. However, I think though that if you love LA and you got accepted to USC, you should attend because it is a prestigious school.

It basically comes down to your opinion, maybe visit the campuses and see which one feels like a right fit.

CS and medicine are both great at UW (don’t know much about Econ). But at this stage, it comes down to fit, as the previous poster said. Go wherever you feel most comfortable. You’ll do best in a place where you actually want to be.

I just recieved my acceptance letter from USC and I’m in the exact situation as you lol, except for the honors part. CSE at UW or Business at USC… Do you know if the major we chose at USC is binding? Like can we switch to engineering?

@jrg What I’ve heard is that it’s harder to get in UW’s med school if you went to UW for undergrad… but that’s just what I’ve heard. I’m definitely going to visit USC in April if I get enough financial aid haha

@sumzup Thanks, I think I’ll be pretty comfortable at UW, but I’m kind of tired of the weather is all.

@xPeppy I’m wondering the same thing… I was admitted as a Comp Sci & Business Admin. major but I kind of want to switch
