UW housing

I'm in smith, does anyone know anything about it?

Yea smith's awesome, some of the best rooms on campus are in smith, which is ovbsiously becuase its new.

By the way i had a question, the university residence halls booklet said smith has central airconditioning, what about other dorms like liz waters? dont they have central airconditioning?

Um, bring a fan.

erm.. i didnt expect that..!!

You'll need the fan for a week or so in the fall! That first week of classes is always one of the hottest weeks of the summer!

anyone know what kind of people are going to be living in smith (has a stereotype been formed yet?)

Is there a stereotype for kids in Ogg?

yeah...we're the ***** because we have the athlete/party dorm...and we get to trash the place because its getting torn down after us lol

hey goblue, I'm in Kronshage toooooo yay

Adams.....single

then i hope i get into smith, i dont wanna be using a fan. lol

no air-cond in Adams?!

yea i guess so, no air cond in adams too! only in smith

At most, you need air conditionning for a few days. Then you'll want heat!

hehe yea that must be true, i can bear 28 deg C not that much of a concern. What is the highest temperature recorded usually during an year?

95 degrees F. Maybe a bit more. But some years, it never hits 90 and other years we may have 10 days of 90+ temps. Winters haven't been too bad the last several years so we're due a big snow/cold winter. But the city is great getting the snow cleaned up and the campus is always cleaned.

ok cool. I come from a place where the temperature now is 105 F, its not comfortable but i have suffered it for a long time now so i guess 90 F should be cool!!>!

How often does it rain in madison ?

Fair amount. Mostly in the Spring and Summer thunderstorms. But nothing like Seattle/Portland.

What about tornadoes ? I heard there were a record no of tornadoes in 2005 in wisconsin ?
