The UW Madison is my top choice and I want to know if I have a decent chance of getting in (out of state):
unweighted gpa: 3.91(9th grade: 3.78 10th grade: 4.0 11th grade 4.0)
ACT: 34
9 AP Classes: (AP Bio, AP World History, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, AP Spanish, AP English III, AP US History, AP Physics, AP Calculus)
Also taking college classes next year
ECs: 3 years of high school and club soccer
2 years of National Honor Society
3 years of beta club
2 years of best buddies club
2 years of academic team
3 years of math club
3 years of science club
2 years student council representative
community service for the pet shelter and the hospital for about 40-50 hours
Excellent chance. Keep up the good work.
Agreed, a 3.9 and a 34 OOS is a likely acceptance – write a coherent essay (doesn’t sound like you are going to “blow it off”) and you should be good! High stat kids are the ones who typically get accepted in the first round (now called EA at UW), so if you can get your app in before that first Nov deadline, so much the better. Decisions are released by end of January for that EA/first round.
Absolutely! Congrats on having such good stats. It never hurts to apply early, though.
