Per Admission office, no decisions have been sent out yet.
does anyone know what day the decisions will be released
Oh, thatās interesting. Especially since someone on here posted that they got accepted over the weekend. Huh.
I called admissions last week & they would not give me any info that differed from their late January timeline. But, Iām thinking with the portal changes some have reported there is a chance for sometime this week.
Same. Ours changed over the weekend and it seems that happened across the board so Iād presume theyāre preparing to release. Hopefully this week - fingers crossed!
I think the admitted student was a recruited athlete, so likely under a different category for admissions decisions.
Agreed. Hopefully itās still a good sign that the general population will be hearing soon!
You are correct! I spoke to a āfriend of a friendā who work in admission office and was told over the weekend that recruited athletes and one other group of students (canāt remember which group) are admitted first before the general public. We are anxiously awaiting too for one of our children.
is the other group in state residents?
No, itās not.
Yes, recruited athlete. Hope that means they are moving through the applications and they will start rolling out other groups soon!
Does UW-Madison have great indoor rowing facilities? I assume it can be challenging to row outdoors all year round. Well, I noticed that Dartmouth has 57 heavyweight menās rowing members and itās cold up there so everyone makes it work. Two Texans on their roster!
Yes, they do They all make it work and interestingly there are more top teams residing in cold weather climates than warmer ones but they also all typically spend a portion of winter break training in states with nice warm winter weather.
Yes a newish facility right on Lake Mendota next to the HC White Library and main Student Union.
Does anyone know the OOS acceptance rate for the engineering school specifically? I cant seem to find anywhere if it is any more selective than arts and sciences, business, etcā¦
I know business is selective. My daughter got into Kelley direct admit and 36 k over four years but we are told Wisconsin business direct admit is much harder. With a 30 and 3.8 weighted you get Kelley. Thatās a tough pull for OOS anything at wisco.
I know someone who is in business at Wisconsin (maybe pre-business?) and had 3.5 WGPA and 30 act. Full pay. Maybe UW is a bit more holistic?
Is ea coming out tomorrow?
The 31st
Did admissions tell you that or are you guessing?
