Waitlisted from OOS
3.56 GPA 34 ACT.
I think my essays did it for me, I didn’t spend too much time on them.
Sorta disappointed but not shocked. 
@aplarry did you receive the decision today?
aplarry- likely your lower gpa, especially relative to your high ACT score. The essays that did not show you really wanted UW perhaps tipped the balance. Students with high test scores but not high gpas may not have the study habits to succeed, do not show they are doing the work they are capable of…
I submitted my app on 25th Jan but for some reason, today my app status changed to “Your application will be reviewed by one of our admission counselors as a part of our first notification period.”
