<p>The goal is to raise $40 million.</p>

<p>What I find unsettling is that another scholarship fund (with an initial contribution in 2007 of $175 million from John and Tashia Morgridge) has unrealized losses of over $40 million as reported on the 2007 and 2008 Forms 990-PF (from 11/14/07 - 6/30/09). (Fund for Wisconsin Scholars, Inc.)</p>

<p>The market made a pretty good recovery from 6/09. DOW is up 20% and was up over 30% earlier this year. Like all funds they just have to ride this one out and hope.</p>
