UW madison/U of M

anyone applying to UW madison/U of m? what is your GPA and ACT scores?

I know a lot about U of M... a lot about it....... know lots of employees there...

i applied and was accepted. they pretty much only look at your scores in determining if they'll let you in (cause they have so many applicants). i had a 1500 sat and a 35 act and live in wisconsin.

what are some things U of M specifically looks at

As far as I know, the order they look at is: ACT/SAT scores, GPA, High school courses. I don't remember doing any teacher recommendations and I just skipped the little mini-essay (cause I don't even wanna go there-- parents do). Essentially, if your ACT or SAT is high enough, you're in.

It also depends on if you're in-state or not. But, yeah, if you have above a 28 ACT for both schools, you should be pretty competitive.

i guess. i live in wi. but i know a lot of people that get into U of M with act scores of 22-28. it also depends on which college you are being admitted into. madison, on the other hand, is way more competitive, and everyone i know that has gone there has gotten act scores of 26+

University of Michigan is harder to get into than Wisconsin for out of state.

in-state umich is justa little harder than your average big state school (i.e. purdue, ohio state, penn) out-of-state numbers matter most

i'm talking about u of m twin cities.
